Defense Commissary Agency: Scholarships for Military Children

Scholarships for Military Children awards grants to college students of active-duty, Guard and Reserve or retired military commissary customers.

DoDEA resources for parents on school-related topics, including Homeschooling, Non-DoD Schools Program (NDSP), and more.

MCEC supports students by offering students programs a long list of parent resources, including workshops, webinars, podcats, and more.

Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission

MIC3 is dedicated to making school transitions easier and more manageable for military families. The Compact, signed by all 50 states, legislates these measures so that local school districts can help lessen this burden. The website also provides links to State commissioners and State-specific Department of Education resources.

Military OneSource

The Department of Defense Military OneSource Network offers, among other things, a lot of information and tools to help military-connected students in school, transitioning between schools, and getting ready for college.

Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Digital Library

The MWR library offers access to many easy-to-use online resources for children, youth and teens. You’ll find eBooks and audiobooks for your child (parents and teachers, too) on virtually every topic, as well as databases, reference books, tutoring services and materials.

 

National Military Family Association

NMFA supports military families and in particular military kids with their Operation Purple Camp, Family Retreats, Healing Adventures, and Buddy Camp (ages 5-12).
